Cultural Excursion
Wondering where to go and what to do on the first night of the convention? MCCA has you covered! We have reserved two trolleys for Tuesday night to shuttle attendees to nearby neighborhoods with lots of food and drink options. The trolleys are FREE and will run from 6 - 11 p.m.
Trolleys can hold 30 people (and more for those who are willing to stand) and will run on continuous loops of roughly 20 minutes.
Formerly a paper company built in the 1920s, Urban Chestnut’s Grove Brewery & Bierhall features an industrial bierhall and European-inspired cuisine. Urban Chestnut plans to hold a few tables for us, so grab a seat and share a brew with your fellow convention-goers! You’ll also be in the center of a thriving neighborhood with several other excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance.
If breweries aren't your style, catch the other trolley headed for The Hill for a more traditional St. Louis experience! A historic neighborhood famous for its Italian markets and restaurants, you won’t be able to walk a block without finding a great place to eat and drink. If you plan to head to The Hill, MCCA highly recommends you make your restaurant reservations now.
Still looking for other options? City Foundry Food Hall and Lafayette Square are just a short Uber ride away! City Foundry features 17 kitchens and 10 shops all in one place, and Lafayette Square is another historic neighborhood featuring several great shops and restaurants:
