Brews & BBQ Cultural Excursion, sponsored by Trane!
We hope you'll join us for this exciting trip through KC to enjoy two staples of our host city — great barbecue and great drinks.
The Barley Bus will pick up Brews & BBQ registrants from the hotel after the convention opening reception at 6p on Wednesday, November 8th. The first stop will be at LC's Bar-B-Q for a rib and burnt ends dinner. Regarded by KC natives as one of the best barbecue hotspots in a city with dozens, L.C. Richardson founded his restaurant in 1986. Regulars could always count on seeing him at a corner table doing the books or chatting with customers. His family now carries on the legacy of LC's. The second stop will be at Cinder Block Brewery for drinks. A North Kansas City favorite since 2013, Cinder Block is a true basement-tinkering-turned-brewery story featuring years of passion and hard work by founder Bryce Shaffter and his employees. We'll be all wrapped up and back at the hotel by 9p. Normally, this trip around the city for food and drinks would cost riders $125 each. Thanks to our generous Silver sponsor Trane, dinner and drinks for the night are only $38! |
