Why?MCCA’s Annual Convention and Solution Center is the event college and workforce development professionals flock to.
Nearly 600 registrants attend our in-person event and this year we're expecting 1,200. Attendees are purchase-decision makers actively seeking information about the latest advancements in higher education. Our attendees represent a range of professional levels, and are seen as influential partners or key decision-makers on their campuses. Our Annual Convention is a level playing field. We don’t play favorites. We don’t have a sales quota to meet. Your success is our only agenda. MCCA represents nearly 5,400 community college professionals and statewide workforce development professionals. We are the leading professional organization for community college personnel, offering quality education, resources and solutions for its members, and helping shape the profession’s future and the public's perception. #MCCA2020 Updates
August 18, 2020
Dear MCCA Partners, Sponsors, and Exhibitors:
Today, we are announcing that the in-person MCCA 2020 Annual Convention & Tradeshow, scheduled November 11-13 at St. Louis Union Station, has been canceled. MCCA will instead deliver a virtual annual meeting to take place for the same dates.
This was not an easy decision, but ultimately the public health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff, and volunteers led all parties to conclude that canceling the face-to-face meeting was safe and responsible. Many stakeholders are involved in making our annual meeting a "must-attend" event each year, and we want to thank everyone for their time and support.
Important Information
We have been exercising our creativity and imagination to deliver a virtual event that will exceed your expectations!
Next Steps
Thank you again for being part of the MCCA community.

Important Information
We have been exercising our creativity and imagination to deliver a virtual event that will exceed your expectations!
- As previously mentioned, the virtual convention will take place on November 11-13, offering the same vibrant programming and impactful networking. All attendees will have access to on-demand sessions and Sponsor and Exhibitor profiles for 12 months.
- The Tradeshow is now revamped and officially the Solution Center. Our attendees want answers to their problems — this is your opportunity to be the solution. We believe this fundamental change will spark meaningful conversations and lasting connections.
- Thanks to the generous support of our colleges, 5,400 faculty, staff, and trustees will now have the opportunity to attend free! (Attendee registration opens Wednesday, August 19.)
Next Steps
- Join us for an informational session on Tuesday, September 1, at 11 a.m. CST. During this session, we will share detailed engagement opportunities, activities, and a strategic direction you can align to related to the virtual event. Come with questions or ideas. Register now!
- A new Marketing Prospectus will be available on September 1.
- If you are unfamiliar with virtual events (Zoom doesn't count!), sponsoring or exhibiting may not be appealing when compared to in-person events. Let us assist! Schedule a complimentary 30-minute Request for Support (RFS), and we will work with you and your team to reimagine a unique opportunity. Send us an email to get a session scheduled ([email protected]). RFS is only free through Sept. 18!
- If your organization has already registered to attend or exhibit during the in-person event, you can cancel your participation and receive a refund. Email [email protected] by September 30.
Thank you again for being part of the MCCA community.
